Salsa,
I was concerned about the heat factor too. True, while the truck is is not moving, the filter may pull in hotter air from the engine compartment. But, while moving the filter is catching cooler air coming from the front of the truck, just like the original filter intake. I have the JWT and I like it.

I took a look at the Popcharger but if it mounts like the example shown for the Toyota, I'd be real concerned about engine heat having an adverse effect on performance. I ran with that type of setup on my Isuzu tuner for a while but the car actually created more hp by using air coming from the fender like our SCs do, where the air was much cooler than in the engine compartment.

<body text="#000000" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" link="#FF0000" vlink="#3333FF"...

K&N part no RR-3001. This is a inverted cone type universal filter that comes in the color red, blue or chrome, with 3 in. inlet. I'm looking into this one. Check K&N website and look for universal filters. Good luck.

sorry havent used the K&N but i do have the JWT popcharger. Jim Wolf specializes in Nissans so i think it would be a better choice. adds something like 7-8 ponies. it is a little cheaper than the K&N too. $120. the install is really quick and simple.
jimwolftechnology.com/ check them out before you decide on the K&N.

aloha
