Congrats on the new truck. I too had a first gen. Frontier and couldn't be more pleased with the second gen. models.

I find that odd that the valet key works just like the regular key.

Not that I'm aware of. I'm not sure about the alarm/ immobilizer deal mentioned earlier, but I have unlocked my armed truck and driven it with the valet key. Also, if I had a locking glove box (2005's don't have them) the valet key would not work in it.

Well it is fire engine red

No lights/sirens, though im putting the scanner in soon, maybe today.

I put my navigation in last night, wow are the new frontiers easy to work on. 1 screw to access the radio that was it.

The valet key won't be able to disable the alarm or immobilizer systems if they're armed.

My valet key just unlocks the door, not the tailgate.

My valet key opens my tailgate (I don't have a locking glove box).

check your three keys, my X come with two regular keys and a valet key. it only opens the drivers door and the ignition, not the back gate, or glove box...

When I went to the dealership today to pickup my work car, i talked to one of the guys. He gave me 2 key fobs.

Congrats on the new ride, it looks great! If it's remote keyless entry you should have key fobs. If they truck has been in the dealership as long as you think, they probably sent them out with another vehicle. I had the same problem (only w/ Honda) when I bought my S2000. Make them get you new ones. If they won't or can't you can get them here:

You could always swap in a new OEM mirror from an LE to get the compass and temperature feature.

Soooo... yesterday I went to a dealership, test drove a used 2005 NISMO, kinda liked it. Didnt like the 20k price tag on a truck with 40k miles though.

So I called them today and asked them to price me a truck with my specs... he said he'd call me back and do some research.

In the meantime, I went on AutoTrader and saw Smithtown nissan (big dealership) had 8 trucks. So i took a look, now they didnt go into details but they had a 2008 Frontier for $29k listed.. okay...
