        <![CDATA[ Hey all, i just wanted to share an interesting shock story.  I was experiencing some vibration issues and the truck was feeling squirrely in turns so i decided
to check the suspension.  Lo and behold, the OEM shock on the rear driver side had actually broken off where the lower collar attaches to the truck and the
rear passenger side was leaking fluid!  I was amazed, i&#39;d never seen a shock actually break off before especially after only 60k.  Anyways, replaced them
with bilsteins off of... ]]>

			<description><![CDATA[ Do you have to have the torsion bars still on the truck when you have the coil-overs on? Are the coil overs strong enough by themselves? I guess for the rears,
you don&#39;t have a choice since the leafs help hold the axle in place. ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Just a quick update on the shock front.

I put a pair of gabriel max load shocks on my truck today. These are the coil over shocks.

first thing, the rear sway control bar had to be moved to get them in. I also jacked the truck up enough to extend the suspension to get the new shocks in.
there is no compressing these by hand. No other real surprises putting them on.

Good: back of the truck is an inch or two higher. Bouncing on my bumper produces little movement.... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Replaced the originals at a little over 100k with monroes. Not the god ones, just the normal ones. Hated them. Worst shock ever, felt like I was driving a 78
Cadillac with worn out suspension - a real barge. Also made the rear sag horribly with any load. I got a pair of Gabriel sky jacker air shocks for the rear.
Never could get them to hold air for 24 hours, or even 12. Eventually replaced all 4 again with Rancho RS5000. Love them. Nice and firm. Truck rides on rails
again. And the shocks... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I&#39;ve had the Rancho RS9000X adjustables on my truck for at least 3-4 years now and i like being able to adjust them for different tasks. They would give a
nicer ride (faster response) if they were gas charged, but i think they work fine for what i use them for. And it&#39;s kind of nice to be able to dial in
under steer or over steer by changing how hard/soft the shocks are. I might go to the bilsteins later if these ever wear out. ]]></description>
