Has any owners with a 3.3 V6 installed a CONE K & N filter? if so what part# did you use? did it bolt on or did you have to modify anything?

Same question for the 2.4 4 cyl hardbody. Wanting to get a set up like that but wondering about the install and avail.

sorry havent used the K&N but i do have the JWT popcharger. Jim Wolf specializes in Nissans so i think it would be a better choice. adds something like 7-8 ponies. it is a little cheaper than the K&N too. $120. the install is really quick and simple.

i was wondering the same thing....dose it have a pipe that mounts in all the way across the motor...or dose it go on the batery side.

K&N part no RR-3001. This is a inverted cone type universal filter that comes in the color red, blue or chrome, with 3 in. inlet. I'm looking into this one. Check K&N website and look for universal filters. Good luck.

I took a look at the Popcharger but if it mounts like the example shown for the Toyota, I'd be real concerned about engine heat having an adverse effect on performance. I ran with that type of setup on my Isuzu tuner for a while but the car actually created more hp by using air coming from the fender like our SCs do, where the air was much cooler than in the engine compartment.
