So it seems like my truck needs a new head gasket.
Few weeks ago I took the truck into Nissan. It was running weird and the temp guage was going all the way up to High with the AC on in traffic.
So they fixed it. Said the fan was freeling spinning and replaced some part.
Now the truck runs a lil better but in the morning after sitting overnight it kinda stutters around a bit tll its warmed up. And a few times the temp guage went up to High again.
So I took it back in. Tech said it seems like I have a blown head gasket. Either that or the timing gears are off if i had my belt done recently (which i didn't)... so he said they'd work on a price for me.
In the meantime I called STS in Massapequa (cause Brian recommended them), and they don't dothis kinda job but recommended me a local shop. So I call them up and the guy explained everything to me, which I found was nice. He explained why it does sound like a head gasket. So he quoted me a price, cheaper then i paid to have nissan do my knock sensor...
So thats not too bad. Im a littleupset i hafta have my head gasket replaced after all the trouble i've had, but what can I do. 120,000+ on the truck.
I do regular oil changes and what not so i dont think anything hasta be re-surfaced or whatever its called.
Sucks though, MORE work on the $!!$ truck, im tired of fixing it now.
