Soooo... yesterday I went to a dealership, test drove a used 2005 NISMO, kinda liked it. Didnt like the 20k price tag on a truck with 40k miles though.
So I called them today and asked them to price me a truck with my specs... he said he'd call me back and do some research.
In the meantime, I went on AutoTrader and saw Smithtown nissan (big dealership) had 8 trucks. So i took a look, now they didnt go into details but they had a
2008 Frontier for $29k listed.. okay thats the NISMO/SE price range.
I called up the dealership asked a sales rep to take a look at the truck. He caleld me back with info, then i asked for more details to verify it was a NISMO
with certain things. He couldnt find the truck. Turns out they had JUST put it in the show room.
So he calls me back, its the truck I want (minus a bed extender and towing package).
So I tell him to give me a price, he calls me back with a price.. gives me .9% APR and 2500 discount, not bad, he gave me both promos (the title says March, so
maybe its been on the lot for quite some time, has 8 miles on it).
Sooo we test drive another truck, LE i think, i like how it rides... so we talk numbers and i left with it.
I got the 7 years/75k extended warranty (after my last truck you bet i got it) for $1500, not a bad price. $160 more then 3rd party wanted, so im glad.
They also gave me window etching, whatever that is, the security thingy.
So far ONLY THING i don't like, is
1) No temp guage for outside temp
2) No compass
3) No keyfob, just keys (im putting an alarm in it anyway.. but the sticker says it has remote keyless entry, i'll call dealership tomm)
4) CHIPPED keys, ugh... not a big deal they gave me 3 keys, but still, chipped keys means i hafta have my alarm system wired WITH a key, something i dont like
But anyway im overall happy. It sucks i have truck payments again, but whatever... i moved money around and got rid of a loan i had with 8.??? APR, and now i
have .9% APR on this truck, so not bad, some pics from the dealership:




Book on my truck with moonroof/floor mats is 27,425.00 (includes 780 destination charge). My #'s came out to:

Fees: $60
Extended Warranty: $1,500
Tire Fee: $12
Reg Fee: $145
Tax: $2,337.81
sooo i guess I got an all right deal.. i mean i got $1,815 off invoice, which is great. I was ready to pay invoice price... i didnt even haggle him. He made me an offer, i liked it, i took it. So thats why i bought the extended warranty, because even with that warranty i still paid below invoice... so i mean what do you all think. I know some will say "shoulda tried for lower with the way trucks sell now adays" but i wanted to go in, get out. I told the guy give me a good number up front, and ya know what, he gave me a good number up front. It was one of the most painless sales ive ever had. I walked in, he OFFERED me a test drive before i looked at any papers (my old nissan guy gave me a hard time when i wanted to test drive) walked around truck, asked if i liked it, i said yup lets do some paperwork.. sat down, he wrote the # down with a rebate AND low financing, he went to his finance guy worked the #'s and i waited for paperwork to finish, that was it. Rest of my time i spent on my phone walking around, talking to other customers, taking pics, lol....
