Hey everyone. I'm finally trying to get back into the Frontier world after a 6 month hiatus, but before I do, there was one big question in my head: how
well does a child seat or booster seat fit in the back of a crew cab Frontier. In my previous Frontier (2003 SC CC LB), my newborn son could barely fit in the
back of the truck in his rear-facing child seat. The front passenger seat had to be so far up, even if someone could fit in it, the airbag would kill them in a
crash.
I tried to test fit our current rear-facing booster seat in a few vehicles at CarMax a few months back, to include a CC Frontier and a CC Toyota Tacoma, and the seat definately fit much better in a Tacoma. But I love Frontiers, so I had to try it in there also. The seat fit better then in my previous 03, but my wife still felt unsafe/uncomfortable sitting in the front passenger seat. The comfort issue I think was just her being biased/whiner (hopefully she won't ever read this
), but it is still a concern to me as I want her to be able to ride in the truck with my son and I also.
So, if anyone with any experience with trying to fit their 0-12 month year old in the back of one of these newer Frontiers could let me know about your experiences, I would be forever grateful.
