I would check for posts on BITOG to see if anybody has any good subs for Nissan Matic J.
Seems so silly to me since all the different OEMs that use JATCO auto transmissions, seem to want different fluids for them. The manufacturers cleverly skirt Magnusson Moss with "Lifetime" fluids now.

Auto Transmission - Front Bank Sensor | ||
|
My 05 Frontier was driving fine. Service engine light came on and still everything Ok. Stopped, truck would hardly pull away, felt like transmission stuck in
OD. It was. Dealer tested and said front bank electronic sensor bad. Only way to repair is to replace with whole valve body for $1700 and they suggested new
tranny for $4400. Anyone that can help? Truck has 93k, looks great and runs strong. I will be calling tranny shop on Monday.

Ripoff by Nissan | ||

The transmission has a front bank solenoid which is built into the transmission valve body. The only way to fix it is to replace the whole valve body for
$1700. It is an electronic module that could have been a seperate piece. Makes me lose a whole lot of respect for Nissan.

Have 2007 Nissan Frontier with 5speed auto. At 31K I wanted to REPLACE the transmission fluid. I work for Certified Transmission, a nation wide re-manufacturer
of automatic transmissions. I asked the head of our tech dept if I could use Mobil 1 ATF. He told me I could, as when we sell/ship out that same unit we ship
it out with Mobil 1 anyway.

JATCO now supplies Transmissions to Toyota, Chrysler, and Mitsubishi. I don't know who builds their Standard Transmissions. I know on my FS6R31A, that I see Nissan logos in some places. |
