2006 Frontier--4 cyl
Turned 50 k recently and noticed a huge jump in gas mileage. I went from 19-20 to 24-25, seemingly over night. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed the big change once the engine was "broke in"...? |

On my gen 1, I dont remember on, but that was 80K ago.
on my gen 2, its 2 years old and hasn't broke 20K yet.
While you didn't realize it, the National Anthem does end with "Gentlemen Start Your Engines!"

I'll bet it was more likely the arrival of cooler weather. Both my vehicles started getting 1-2 mpg better when the daytime temperature dropped below 90.

that works until they reformulate the gas and mileage drops 4 to 5 below normal.

Happy with my highway mileage of 23.6 mpg with the a/c on this past summer. The truck had only 9000 miles on it. This is way better than my 02Frontier or my 05
Titan ever got. If it increases that would be even nicer. I still do not miss my Titan which still surprises me and it's almost a full year later......
