Head Light Bulb near Battery |
Lead | |
|
I skipped a step and took the white round thingy off before disconnecting the bulb. Is there a secret getting the white thingy back on so I can then
disconnect the bulb? As noted in the subject, the bulb is on the battery side where it is tight. Thanks

I got the white THINGY back on so the old burned out bulb is now secure. Now, how do I disconnect the bulb from the electric plug? Do you twist it? THanks

It just pulls straight out, but there's a little latch thingy on the plug. You may have to push the bulb in just a bit, then press the middle of the latch
and it will either release or break off. Either way you can just pull the bulb straight out then.

What kind of lights are you putting in? My left low beam burned out last week, so I changed them both from the regular SilverStars to the SilverStar Ultras.
Slightly brighter, whiter light, but I'm sure the most difference would be noticed when going from regular, old bulbs to them.
Glad you figured it out! It's not an easy procedure, and I sometimes need to push my battery over just a little...

It does get annoying how close the battery is. I was getting ready to move it until I figured it out.

And of course, you're trying to get the top of the new bulb past the metal circle into the hole it mounts in, hoping you don't snap the bulb in 2... I
had to push on the top of the battery to get it in.
