other than fed and state, I dont pay any city taxes (just real estate on the value of my house)

Is the city allowed to charge sales taxes too? No income taxes here in Texas but the sales tax rate is around 8.25% that includes 6.25% to the state and the
other 2% to the citiy and/or county.

Yep, we do have property taxes here. For the DFW area property taxes on a $250K house run $6-10K per year depending on the neighborhood

The advantage sort of depends on your income too. On your federal taxes you only get to deduct the $4K in state taxes from your federal (plus the lower
property taxes) while here there's the "standard sales tax deduction" (mine was about $4K last year) plus that 6-10K in real estate taxes fom
your federal.

Im so freaking sick of hearing about that person. My wife and daughter have been flipping between all the channels that its on. One local radio station has
been "paying a tribute to" by constantly playing michael jackson songs 24/7
