I am starting to get into this Nismo thing a little more. I got my '06 Nismo CC 4x4 automatic about a week and a half ago. I love the truck. I have added the sliding bed extender and am getting an Access Rollup tono cover installed this Saturday. And I picked up the Nismo side steps this afternoon and will install them this weekend (nice looking by the way-aluminum so no rust, very light with a rough texture surface). I have been poking at the cold air intakes. I like the looks of the Nismo intake (part number 16576-RND26). It's black aluminum with NISMO written on it. I hate having to remove the plastic plenum cover with the silver Nissan emblem, but oh well. What's up with this R-Tune and S-Tune thing? I read that R-Tune is considered off road and S-Tune is considered for the street.
The Nismo intake is an R-Tune device. Does this mean I will fail my Massachusetts emissions test? I thought if it was manufactured by Nissan it would be safe to use. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
06NISMO
