Well I think I pooched my Clutch. The other day while I was backing my Trailer in (up a gravel drive way). I smelled the burning hot clutch smell, but that
seems to occur every time while backing my trailer with this truck. As soon as Finished putting my trailer away, I got in the truck and when I engaged the
clutch this uneven grabbing occurs when the clutch is engaged. I was hoping it would lessen over time. But It has been a week and no improvement. I
wouldn't notice it so much if this Truck didn't have the most absolute smoothest clutch of any car or truck I have ever driven...now it drives like a
domestic. What I'm wondering is whether the clutch is pooched or if this is something that will go away over time. I am not experiencing horrible slippage
or anything. Only grabbyness while the clutch is actually being used. There are no noises or anything out of the ordinary just this grabbyness. The SM mentions
motor mounts and "Hardening," of the clutch disk as possibilities for a grabby clutch. I have found Exedy and Valeo clutch kits (Pressure Plate,
Throwout Bearing, Clutch) online for <$300 ...I'm contemplating doing it myself it it doesn't start to improve within a month or so. Anybody? 2005
