I Bought An Old Used Motorhome |
Lead | |
|
Last September, I bought a 16 foot 1976 Dodge Travel Mate motor home. I paid only $1800. It only has 40,000 miles on the 360 engine. It is very easy to drive
because of the length etc. It also came with a newer external Champion generator. I could not see paying a crazy amount of money on something that will not be
used often although I have used more than I thought. I have taken it to football games, a birthday party at someones farm and of course camp grounds.

That's gotta be something fun to run around in! I used to love the VW Westfalia campers, and for YEARS wanted to get one. What I would love to get some day
(if I still have the truck) is one of those tear-drop campers to tow. For now, though, we just use a nice tent...

It is getting close to camping season! I can't wait to get the old motor home out.
I may even take it to Jamboree In the Hills. http://www.jamboreeinthehills.com/

so do you haul the frontier to have something to drive while your there?
I have thought about a little pop up a couple times. I think a used rig would be a better investment.

Naw, I keep the Frontier in the garage to give it a rest. (Just turned over 194,000 miles)

I hear ya. I just drive the little motorhome. It is all I need because I only take short trips.

I guess its more comfortable than an air mattress in the bed of the truck covered by a tarp...

Here is a picture of where I camped out Memorial Day weekend. It was at a friends farm house with a lot of land. It was a fairly big gathering plus it was
FREE!

I got it on clearance at Walmart for $30. It works great as it is $54 before shipping on Amazon. It will be great for camping and tailgating.

I have been camping twice this year. I need to try and get out this week. Does anyone else here enjoy camping?

I like what youve done with the place... altho, the rebel flag should be more predominantly displayed.

I have had a blast in it this summer. I will be taking it to the High School football games and do a little tailgating this year.
