Roof Rack Decals |

|
I think I've seen something about this before. After 2 1/2 years, part of the "Frontier" decal on my roof rack came off in the "touchless" car wash I've used for years. The thing I noticed is that the paint appears to be a different color under the decal. Is this true? Also, how have you guys removed these decals and how would I even out the color? I might as well take the rest of it off at this point.

odds are the difference in color is due to paint fading.

Quote: Actually, the paint under where the decal was is very noticeably lighter. I'll try to get a pic up later. |

dunno then, maybe that particular paint darkens as it oxidizes.
does it feel like the stickers removed a layer of paint? |

Have you tried something similar to Armor All to see if it darkens at all?

It looks like the paint has just darkened as it oxidized. dunno an easy fix.

I used a dental tool to gently grab the decal and pulled it off. I'm not sure about how to cure the fading. I took my decals off the first month I had
mine.
